The VK 45.03 project was approved by the Wehrmacht command, and after numerous tests, the Henschel variant was chosen for serial production. The hull featured sloped armor plates, while the specially designed suspension with nine road wheels on torsion bars allowed for the distribution of its considerable weight while maintaining mobility. Mounting the prototype 105 mm gun made it one of the most powerful vehicles in its class and an object of extensive postwar analysis. The King Tiger saw combat in, among others, the Battle of the Bulge in 1944 and the defense of Berlin.

    The Hobby Boss 84559 kit offers an impressive level of detail thanks to over 880 parts and photo-etched components. The model allows for the realization of individual painting projects and advanced customization—ideal for experienced modelers who value historical accuracy and constructional detail. Individual track links as well as separately molded hull and turret elements allow for a realistic final effect.
Due to the high level of complexity and number of details, we recommend this kit only to intermediate and advanced modelers who wish to take on the challenge of assembling a demanding replica of the legendary German tank from the end of World War II.

```
https://plastmodel.it/en/products/72502-hobby-boss-84559-pzkpfwvi-sdkfz182-tiger-ii-henschel-105mm-135
