Scale
1/35

What does the model scale mean?

The model scale designation, for example, 1:30, means that the model is 30 times smaller than the original. Scale determines the proportion, not the resolution or level of detail.

  • Models with a smaller number after the colon (e.g., 1:48, 1:32) are larger and have more detail.
  • Scales with a larger number (e.g., 1:164, 1:200, 1:350) are smaller—good for collections, dioramas, or displaying many models together.

Italeri 6523 Pz. Kpfw. I Ausf. B (1/35) – German Light Tank from World War II

Italeri 6523 Pz. Kpfw. I Ausf. B is a detailed plastic model kit in the renowned 1/35 scale, dedicated to modelers interested in armored vehicles from the 1930s. The model represents the German light tank Panzerkampfwagen I Ausführung B, also known as Panzer I B, which was widely used by the Wehrmacht in the early period of World War II.

Brief Historical Description

The Pz.Kpfw. I Ausf. B was developed as an improved version of the Pz.Kpfw. I Ausf. A tank, equipped with a more powerful engine (Maybach NL 38 TR) and an extended chassis with six road wheels on each side. This tank was mainly used by the German army from 1936–1941 during the campaigns in Spain (Civil War as support for Franco's forces), during the invasions of Poland, France, and in the initial phase of Operation Barbarossa. Its role was to support infantry and serve for armored crew training, although at the front it quickly became obsolete due to weak armor and firepower.

Italeri 6523 Kit Features

  • Scale: 1/35, ideal for dioramas and collections of World War II military vehicles
  • Material: high-quality plastic (polystyrene)
  • Model with realistically rendered armor texture and precise turret and chassis details
  • Recreation of characteristic elements of the Pz. Kpfw. I Ausf. B – including the running gear layout, hatches, and tools
  • Option to choose different painting versions with decals included in the set
  • Does not include glue or paints; it is recommended to use model products dedicated for Italeri or Tamiya

Category and Recommendation

The product belongs to the category of plastic model kits of military vehicles. This set is recommended both for intermediate modelers and enthusiasts of 20th-century military history. It is an excellent choice as the first German tank in a WWII collection. Due to the level of detail and number of parts, we rate the assembly difficulty at 3/5.

Italeri 6523 Pz. Kpfw. I Ausf. B is an excellent choice for fans of historical reconstructions, diorama builders, and collectors of German vehicles from World War II.
