What does the model scale mean?

The model scale designation, for example, 1:30, means that the model is 30 times smaller than the original. Scale determines the proportion, not the resolution or level of detail.

  • Models with a smaller number after the colon (e.g., 1:48, 1:32) are larger and have more detail.
  • Scales with a larger number (e.g., 1:164, 1:200, 1:350) are smaller—good for collections, dioramas, or displaying many models together.

Historical Description

The T-60 was a Soviet light reconnaissance tank that played a crucial role on the Eastern Front during World War II. Produced from 1941 by the Gorky Automobile Plant, it was designed as a fast and easily produced infantry support and reconnaissance vehicle. The T-60 was mainly used by the Red Army—in the Battle of Moscow, the Kursk Salient, and Operation Bagration. Despite its light armament and thin armor, it played an important role in the early years of the conflict, appreciated for its mobility and ease of operation. During 1941–1943, over 6,000 units of this vehicle were produced.
