A-Model 72264 de Havilland 100 Vampire (MK.3,5,6,9,52) 1/72 – Plastic Model Kit

A-Model 72264 de Havilland 100 Vampire (MK.3,5,6,9,52) is a 1/72 scale plastic model of a fighter aircraft, faithfully representing one of the most important post-war aircraft designs. The de Havilland Vampire was a British jet fighter that first took to the skies in 1943, becoming the second operational jet fighter in Royal Air Force service, right after the legendary Gloster Meteor.

This kit includes several variants of this versatile fighter – Mk.3, Mk.5, Mk.6, Mk.9, as well as the export version Mk.52. These variants served with the air forces of Great Britain, Sweden, Canada, Norway, Switzerland, Italy, as well as many countries in the Middle East and South America. The de Havilland Vampire was widely used just after World War II, throughout the Cold War, until the 1960s, becoming one of the most exported first-generation British jet aircraft.

The model of this distinctive aircraft is made from high-quality plastic, providing precise detailing on the fuselage, wings, and tail. The kit allows you to build one of several Vampire variants featuring its characteristic twin-boom tail and centrally located cockpit. No metal or resin parts are included, making this set an economical choice for any modeler.

  • Historical period: Late World War II and Cold War (1943–1960+)

What does the scale of the model mean?

A model scale designation such as 1:30 means the model is 30 times smaller than the original. Scale indicates proportion, not resolution or detail.

  • Models with a smaller number after the colon (e.g. 1:48, 1:32) are larger and have more detail.
  • Scales with higher numbers (e.g. 1:164, 1:200, 1:350) are smaller - good for collections, dioramas, or displaying many models together.
