Historical information about the Tiger I Late Production

The Tiger I is one of the most famous heavy tanks of World War II. The late production variants were introduced into service from mid-1943, equipped among other things with modern Schürzen side skirts and modified fenders. Tiger I tanks in the "late" version saw intensive use on the Eastern Front, in Normandy, in Italy, and during the Battle of the Bulge.

Product characteristics

  • The set includes ultra-detailed photo-etched fenders and side skirts, precisely recreated based on the originals.
  • The pieces are made from high-quality brass sheet, allowing for realistic reproduction of the characteristic details of the Tiger I.
  • This set is dedicated to Dragon plastic models, but it can also be successfully used in conversions or for refining other replicas of this tank variant.
  • The photo-etched parts allow for a realistic depiction of damage, wear, and personalized arrangement of the skirts—unachievable with standard plastic parts.
  • The kit extends personalization options and increases the advancement level of the Tiger I field model.

Who do we recommend it for?

E.T. Model EA35-019 is especially recommended for intermediate and advanced modelers who wish to achieve higher historical realism in their projects. It is not intended for beginners due to the need for precise cutting, bending, and assembly of delicate components.

Assembly difficulty: 4/5

With E.T. Model photo-etched sets, you can enhance the appeal of your Tiger I (late) model to a collector's level, recreating even the finest period details. It’s an excellent choice if you're looking for top-quality detail for your World War II tank model!

Scale
1/35

What does the scale of the model mean?

A model scale designation such as 1:30 means the model is 30 times smaller than the original. Scale indicates proportion, not resolution or detail.

  • Models with a smaller number after the colon (e.g. 1:48, 1:32) are larger and have more detail.
  • Scales with higher numbers (e.g. 1:164, 1:200, 1:350) are smaller - good for collections, dioramas, or displaying many models together.
