Amusing Hobby 35A039 T-72M2 "Moderna" Slovak MBT 1/35 is a high-quality plastic model kit depicting a unique Slovak main battle tank, which is an advanced modernization of the licensed Soviet T-72. The model is made in the popular and detailed 1/35 scale, ensuring excellent display of details and allowing you to create an impressive replica of the prototype vehicle used for testing and presentation to potential buyers in Slovakia in the early 1990s (period: Cold War/modern transition).

T-72M2 "Moderna" is an example of a modern approach to upgrading Soviet designs: the tank was fitted with DYNAS reactive armor, cage armor (on the second prototype), a laser warning system, and a new automatic fire suppression system. The main armament is a 2A45MS 125 mm smoothbore gun with an autoloader and a coaxial 7.62 mm machine gun. Noteworthy is the possibility of mounting additional automatic cannons: the first prototype tested two Swiss 20 mm cannons, while the second one used a single Soviet 30 mm cannon from the BMP-2.

Technologically, the model is also impressive in its equipment: fire control system VEGA, panoramic commander's sight (also found in the French Leclerc), ballistic computer, and a range of modern sensors. The whole vehicle is powered by a more powerful, turbocharged S12U engine delivering 850 hp.
