Armory Models 72202 presents a unique, plastic model kit of the prototype German super-heavy tank VK 72.01(K) in the popular 1/72 scale. This is an excellent choice for modelers interested in both ambitious armored projects of the Third Reich and rare vehicles from the "what if" category. The model recreates a vehicle designed during World War II at the Krupp factories, intended to surpass other VK heavy tanks, including the VK 70.01, in firepower and armor. In its original design, this tank stood out for its turret positioned unconventionally at the rear of the hull.

It is worth mentioning that the VK 72.01(K) never progressed beyond the design stage—the German design offices only developed technical documentation for this exceptionally advanced vehicle. It was planned to be equipped with more powerful armament and much thicker armor compared to earlier prototypes. This project fitted into the German efforts to construct super-heavy tanks at the end of World War II, although ultimately VK 72.01(K) did not even surpass the prototype phase and did not see combat.
