Eduard 3DL48112 Mi-8MT SPACE ZVEZDA 1/48 – Detail set for the Mi-8MT helicopter model in 1/48 scale

The complete Eduard 3DL48112 detail set from the SPACE series is a professional solution for modelers building the Mi-8MT (Mi-17) helicopter by Zvezda in the popular 1/48 scale. This product is dedicated to models of the Soviet/Russian multi-purpose Mi-8MT helicopter, which entered service in the USSR in the 1970s and is still operated worldwide today. The Mi-8MT has been used in numerous military conflicts (the war in Afghanistan, conflicts in the Middle East and Africa), as well as serving as a transport helicopter, weapons carrier, evacuation, and rescue machine in many post-Soviet countries and export states.

Service period: Cold War, modern times (from the 1970s to the present day)
Country of use: USSR/Russia and more than 50 countries worldwide

The Eduard 3DL48112 set includes a precise three-dimensional decal (3D decal) for the main and side instrument panels, as well as the control panels of the Mi-8MT helicopter cockpit. Thanks to the latest 3D printing technologies, the decals perfectly reproduce the depth and accuracy of the original gauges, switches, and panels, ensuring excellent realism without the need for time-consuming painting.

Additional set components:

  • Stainless steel photo-etched parts – details made of thin stainless steel (photo-etched parts) that allow for accurate recreation of cockpit elements and fully realistic crew seat belts.
  • 3D decal – covers both the main and side instrument panels.

Materials: 3D decal (3D printed), stainless steel (photo-etched details).

Product category: Scale model accessories for plastic models to assemble (upgrade set, super-detailing of cockpits).

Assembly difficulty: 3/5 – recommended for intermediate and advanced modelers who wish to significantly enhance the realism of their Mi-8MT helicopter model.

We recommend this set to all modelers who expect perfect interior detailing and want their Mi-8MT model to stand out with exceptional realism and detail. Distinct, three-dimensional instruments and superbly made seat belts will make your model a highlight of any model contest.

Scale
1/48

What does the scale of the model mean?

A model scale designation such as 1:30 means the model is 30 times smaller than the original. Scale indicates proportion, not resolution or detail.

  • Models with a smaller number after the colon (e.g. 1:48, 1:32) are larger and have more detail.
  • Scales with higher numbers (e.g. 1:164, 1:200, 1:350) are smaller - good for collections, dioramas, or displaying many models together.
